What Australian military branches are eligible for the Epic Military Pass offering?

Australia Defence Force (ADF) including members of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Australian Army, and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) – active and reservists.

 

Who qualifies for the Epic Military Pass?

The following Australian Defence Force personnel and their families qualify for the Epic Military Pass*:

Epic Military Pass - Active Epic Military Pass - Active Dependent
  • A person who is currently serving on full-time, active duty in the Australian Defence Force (ADF): SERCAT 3-7
  • A person who is currently serving on active duty in the ADF Reserve Forces: SERCAT 2

 

Registered dependents of qualifying ADF members:

  • Spouse. 
  • Children under the age of 21 years
  • Older children who have been qualified by the ADF as dependent due to a disability

 

 Epic Military Pass - Retired Epic Military Pass - Retired Dependent
  • A person who has served 18 or more years on full-time, active duty in the ADF.

 

Registered dependents of qualifying ADF members:

  • Spouse.
  • Children under the age of 21 years.
  • Older children who have been qualified by the ADF as dependent due to a disability. 
 Epic Military Pass - Veteran Epic Military Pass - Veteran Dependent
  • A person who served in full-time active duty in the ADF, or active duty in the ADF Reserve Forces, and who was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonourable.

 

Immediate family of Veteran military members: 

  • Spouse. 
  • Children under the age of 21 years. 
  • Older children who have been qualified by the DF as dependent due to a disability.

I am a qualifying Military Dependant. What if the service member doesn’t buy a Military Epic Pass? Will I still be able to?

Yes, we want to honour all families who have members who are serving or who have served. With proper dependant verification, you and your family can still purchase the appropriate Epic Military Pass.

  • Medicare Card stating family member names including the military personnel name, as well as proof of shared permanent residential address.

* All documentation submitted for the purpose of military identification must be current dated. 

 

How do I provide my eligibility documents for review and approval?

For Australian service member verification, you will be required to provide one of the accepted forms of ID to validate your military or dependent status as defined above. When do I need to submit my eligibility documents for review and approval?

Documents must be submitted as soon as you have completed your purchase to ensure that your eligibility can be reviewed and verified, and your Pass activated for use.

What happens if I cannot prove my affiliation?

All military organisations give members some kind of official document that we'll accept, but in the event that you are unable to provide us with an acceptable proof of affiliation, we will not be able to verify you and cannot offer you access to the Epic Military Pass. Why do I have to provide my eligibility documents every year?

Eligibility documents are provided with each season’s purchase to ensure that your military status still matches to the Pass category purchased.
