The Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack is a FREE program for children enrolled in Kindergarten through 5th Grade during the 2024/25 winter season. This program provides four days of skiing and riding at each of the state’s top-ranked resorts: Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Crested Butte. No purchase necessary!
Grade verification: If you renewed your child/children by the October 9th deadline but have not yet completed in-person grade verification, please stop by a Front Range Epic Mountain Gear store to provide grade verification. Verification for the Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack is not available at the Frisco Epic Mountain Gear location. Verification must be completed before using the Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack and cannot be completed at resorts.

Epic School Kids offers one free first-timer lesson and rental package for any participating child who has never skied or snowboarded.
The lesson must be booked in advance. Please call at least 2 weeks in advance of your preferred date to ensure availability!

The free first-timer lesson and rental package must be redeemed as a package and is limited to one total per child (not one per participating resort). Lesson is subject to availability and is only offered at select times throughout the season.
Note: Child 4 & under Epic Passes are not Epic SchoolKids packs and therefore, do not include this free first-timer lesson & rental benefit.

If your child has skied or snowboarded before, we offer several lesson options that will help them learn new skills, gain confidence, and further their love of the mountains.
Ski and snowboard equipment
For the most affordable way to get your child the gear they need every year, visit your local Epic Mountain Gear* and ask about the Junior Trade Program. When you get your child’s gear through the Junior Trade Program, you own it for as long as it fits. Once they’ve outgrown it, you can trade it in and save big on a new size.

How do I complete verification for my Epic SchoolKids pack?
Grade verification: If you registered your child/children by the deadline but have not yet completed in-person grade verification, please make an appointment to visit a Front Range Epic Mountain Gear store to provide visual verification of your child's school grade. Acceptable documents include a school report card, school I.D., school transcript, passport, or birth certificate.

How often can my child use their Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack?
The Epic Schoolkids Colorado Pack provides 4 days of skiing or snowboarding at each of the state’s top-ranked resorts; Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Crested Butte. Packs are valid for up to 4 days at each resort and are subject to peak restricted dates.

How do I receive my child's pack?
If you are registering for an Epic SchoolKids Pass for the first time, your Pass will be printed at the Front Range Epic Mountain Gear store that you visit to register.

Is there a deadline to sign-up for Epic SchoolKids?
Yes. Epic SchoolKids is only available for a limited time each season. Registration generally starts in the spring and is open through early Fall for the upcoming season. Visit the Epic SchoolKids website for more details.
Is the purchase of an adult pass required?
No. The Epic SchoolKids Pack is a FREE program for Colorado, Utah, Canadian and Washington State children who are enrolled in Kindergarten through 5th Grade during the 2024/25 winter season. No purchase is required.

Can my child use any of the days of skiing or riding at other Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts?
No. The Epic SchoolKids Pack provides access to the specific region registered only. Please see your region’s access specifics here.
What grade must my child be in to qualify for Epic SchoolKids?
- Your child must be enrolled in Kindergarten through 5th grade during the 24/25 winter season to qualify for the 24/25 Epic Schoolkids program.
- Children who were enrolled in 5th grade during the 23/24 school year do not qualify.
- Pre-K children are not eligible for Epic SchoolKids.
