Getting to RCR

Travel details will vary depending on which RCR resort you're planning to visit. Kicking Horse, Kimberley, and Fernie Alpine are each around a 4 hour drive from Calgary International Airport. Fly into Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport for Mont-Sainte-Anne and Stoneham. Calgary which is just a 1.5 hour drive to Nakiska Ski Area.

Bring your Epic Pass media card for direct-to-lift access at all RCR resorts! Epic Pass Holders with active media cards do not need to check in or print tickets at a ticket window.

Does my Epic Pass include benefits at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies?

Epic Pass, Epic Australia Pass, and Epic 4-7 Day Pass Holders receive up to seven complimentary and unrestricted days of skiing and riding at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR). The seven days do not have to be used consecutively. Upon redemption of all seven days, Pass Holders can purchase discounted lift tickets at 50% off the window price.

Vail Resorts Lifetime Pass, Trade Epic Pass and Employee Lifetime Pass also receive access to RCR.

Days skied at RCR are considered part of the total purchased days for Epic Day Pass Holders (i.e., an Epic 4-Day Pass Holder who skied three days at Breckenridge will only have one day available to ski at an RCR resort). Blackout dates apply across all RCR resorts for Epic Day Pass products with holiday restrictions.

Epic 1-3 Day Pass Holders and Epic Day Passes with Limited Access do not include access to RCR at this time.

What resorts do I receive access to for the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies?

All six Resorts of the Canadian Rockies which include: Fernie Alpine Resort, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort, Nakiska Ski Area, Mont-Sainte-Anne and Stoneham Mountain Resort.

I bought multiple Pass products, how many days do I have access to Resorts of the Canadian Rockies?

All Pass Holders are limited to up to 7 total days of skiing or riding at RCR. Multiple Passes cannot be used to exceed 7 days at RCR during one season. For example, a guest cannot pair an Epic 4-Day Pass with an Epic 6-Day Pass for 10 days of access at RCR; the guest would be limited to 7 days max.

 

Is there a hotel or lodging requirement to receive benefits at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies?

No. There is no lodging requirement to receive your complimentary skiing and riding benefit at any Resorts of the Canadian Rockies ski area.

 

How can I use my access at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies - do I need to bring my Epic Pass card with me?

Epic Pass Holders who have their valid season pass card in their possession and who have completed their Vail Resorts Release of Liability can go direct-to-lift upon arriving at a Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) resort. There is no need to check in or print tickets at a RCR ticket window.

Mobile Pass on the My Epic app cannot be used for lift access at partner resorts. Guests who have not received their Epic Pass, Epic Australia Pass or Epic Day Pass card should bring a valid photo ID and their Epic Pass confirmation email or log in to the My Epic app to show proof of a valid Pass to receive a day pass from the ticket office at any Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) resort.

If visiting Telluride or Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, please plan on bringing your physical pass card to avoid the need to visit a ticket office.

 

Do I receive seven days at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) in addition to the total days purchased on my Epic Day Pass?

No. Epic Day Pass Holders will receive, in total, the number of days purchased on their Epic Day Pass. These days can be used at Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts and/or RCR resorts. For example, Epic 4-Day Pass Holders who skied three days at Breckenridge will only have one day available to ski at an RCR resort.

Restricted peak dates apply across all RCR resorts for Epic Day Pass products with peak date restrictions.

Epic 1-3 Day Pass Holders and Epic Day Passes with Limited Access do not receive complimentary access to RCR at this time.

Do Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Pass Holders receive benefits at Vail Resorts?

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) Pass Holders are eligible to receive 50% off the current one-day window lift ticket price at all Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts in North America and Australia. RCR Pass Holders must bring their pass and photo ID to a Vail Resorts ticket window to purchase their discounted lift ticket.

Are Ski With A Friend, Buddy, and Bring-A-Mate tickets valid at partner resorts?

No, Ski With A Friend, Buddy and Bring-A-Mate tickets cannot be redeemed at partner resorts; these benefit tickets can only be used at Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts in North America (for Buddy and Ski With A Friend) or Australia (for Bring-A-Mate).

No. Resort charge is only available at Vail Resorts owned and operated North American resorts.

 

Can I use my Epic Mountain Rewards benefits at partner resorts?

No. Epic Mountains Rewards are only valid at Vail Resorts owned and operated North American resorts.

I forgot, lost or did not receive my season pass media card. Can I have one printed at the partner resort?

No. Vail Resorts season passes can only be printed at a Vail Resorts owned and operated resorts in North America, with the exception of Telluride. Please bring a valid photo ID and proof of active pass with you. Proof of active pass may include a valid pass in the My Epic app, confirmation email, pass number or screenshot of your active pass in My Account.

If necessary, Epic Pass Holders may print or reprint their Epic Pass season pass card at one of two convenient locations while visiting Telluride:

  • Mountain Village Ticket Window – Heritage Plaza
  • Oak Street Ticket Office – Telluride Gondola Plaza

Does Epic Day Pass include access to Partner resorts?

Pass Holders with Epic 4-Day, 5-Day, 6-Day and 7-Day Passes with All Resorts Access have access to Telluride in Colorado and the six (6) Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. Access to European and Japanese partner resorts is not currently included on any Epic Day Pass product.

All Epic 1-3 Day Passes and Epic 4-7 Day Passes with Limited Access (32 or 22 resorts) do not include access to any partner resorts. Peak date restrictions also apply at partner resorts.

 

Does my Military Pass include partner access?

No. Military Pass Holders do not currently receive receive access to our partner resorts.

 

What do I need to bring with me to visit a partner resort?

Please proof of active pass and a valid photo ID with you when visiting a Partner Resort. Proof of active pass may include a valid pass in My Epic app, confirmation email, pass number or screenshot of your active pass in My Account.

If you are visiting Telluride or the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (Fernie Alpine Resort, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort, Nakiska Ski Area, Mont-Sainte-Anne and Stoneham Mountain Resort), you can go direct to lift with your active season pass media card. Please note, mobile pass in the My Epic app cannot be used for direct to lift access at Telluride or Resorts of the Canadian Rockies.
